Meet Shaelyn! Stoic and sweet… she is petite and serious. Oh, I forgot to mention totally adorable. Her mom says that is just her… Miss Serious. I have know Shaelyn’s mom since we were kids so when Shaelyn’s grammi called me to get some portraits done I welcomed the reunion! I met the Erikson family at a little park before sunset and did a quick little shoot. I always talk about how fun it is to meet the children of friends that I have known since they were children. So meeting Shaelyn was a fun treat (although really it was my second time meeting her). Enjoy your sneak peek Erikson’s and Grammi Tennant!

I had the honor of photographing the Mader Fitzpatrick wedding… it was perfect weather and a perfect setting. With a ton of dreamy white I just did not need to show any color shots. Their fairytale wedding day is shared better in black and white I think. With Sophie, Ben and Angie’s little girl to make the images that much more sweet and special. They partied into the late hours of the evening… I think the grandparents on both sides were still dancing when I left at midnight!

Meet River Thomas! He is as sweet as he looks. To all you mom’s where I have complimented the demeanor of your newborn well I am sorry but this little guy takes the grand prize as my easiest newborn yet! He was asleep when I got there and asleep when I left which was almost three hours between prep time, photographing, and packing up. He stayed asleep through backdrop change, blanket changes, hat changes, prop adjusting… he was easy as pie! This little guy was born three weeks early so technically he should still be in the womb which could explain why at a little over two weeks this little bean is still all curled up and a deep sleeper or it could be that he is just a good little boy.

His mom received a gift certificate as a shower gift for a portrait session. We actually scheduled maternity portraits but River came before we could get them in. I have been communicating with his mom for so long that I feel like we have been friends forever and get the best part… She lived near Seattle for a few years! Well, I could go on. This was one of the photoshoots that left me feeling good. Good about the photos and good about meeting River and his momma. So enjoy your sneak peek Ruple family. So many great images to come!

Remember the couple that was “waiting on adalie?” Well they are waiting no longer. Adalie arrived May 28, 2010 weighing in at 7lbs 11oz. Miss Adalie Claire is one beautiful girl. After a rough start of shooting boy did we finish strong. I love the shots of her smiling. Such a happy little gal. Never have I had so many images where a newborn is grinning. I just love it!

Her proud mom is one of my closest girlfriends from college… it is always so fun to see my old friends having babies. Just another life chapter we get to share with one another. Enjoy your sneak peek Whitefields. I think she is just perfect!
