double trouble

05.30.10 | Arkansas Photography, Northwest Arkansas Photography, baby and children's portraits, baby portraits

They are twins but these twins seem to do everything opposite. Their parents said that everyone tells them they look identical. I told their parents I just do not see it. Maybe it is because I am such a visual person or maybe because just after spending a few minutes with these adorable little boys that I could see differences in mannerisms that made Wilson and Colin uniquely different from each other. These two little boys made their grand entrance into this world back in January… they were due March! So after months of being in the hospital these little guys (4.5 months and 11lbs born at 2+ lbs) came home in March and had their first photoshoot with me yesterday. They were great. If one cried the other was good and at one point we even got both to sleep at the same time. What was even more fun than photographing these two was getting to know the boys parents (always the perk to my job) … they live just down the road and were super easy going.

Enjoy the sneak peek. Many more great shots and expressions to follow!

5 pounds of Bricklin

05.27.10 | Arkansas Photography, Northwest Arkansas Photography, newborn portraits

Meet Bricklin McDonald and his big sis Kiera. When Bricklin’s mom called me it went something like this… “Hi, do you remember me?”  “You took my daughters newborn portraits a year ago April ….” “I was wondering if you could take my new baby’s portraits.” Okay, so I was totally confused and caught off guard. She just had her daughter so what does she mean her newborn son? That is right this brave mom brought home her newborn son and introduced him to her almost 14 month old daughter. Some would say she is crazy but that is just how this car loving family of four does it and I love em’ for it!

So where does the name Bricklin come from? The same as Kiera… a car! It is as unique as he is and this 5 pounder at 10 days old was so much fun to snuggle and pose. It was great to see his mom and dad again too and it was a treat to see Kiera a year later all grown up. Congratulations McDonald family on your baby boy. Enjoy your sneak peek!

cooper couldn’t be any sweeter…

05.24.10 | Arkansas Photography, Little Rock Photography, Northwest Arkansas Photography, newborn portraits

Some of you know I am 27 weeks pregnant with my second baby, a boy, and he has no name yet. However, we have a list, a short one but a list of names we like and Cooper happens to be a front runner. So when I received an email from a clients mother stating that her grand baby had been born and that his name was Cooper I got really excited to meet the little guy. After all seeing little Cooper could confirm that we too should name our new bean Cooper.

I traveled to Little Rock to photograph 4 day old Cooper Wilson Treece. This much anticipated and week late guy did not disappoint. He was adorable and very laid back. The best part about this tiny one, is that he is a blond! Which for me, well is rare, I either get bald babies or babies with a full head of dark hair.

So congrats to Holly and Jason on the arrival of their 8lb 2.4oz perfect little bean. Oh and congrats to grandma too. She answered the front door in her proud grandma T. I just loved it. It is such a special time for all. Enjoy your sneak peek Treece family!

its official

05.7.10 | Arkansas Photography, baby and children's portraits, what's going on

My little guy is two. His birthday has come and gone but we have his two year portraits to prove he is no longer a baby and he is officially a toddler or “little man” as his daddy likes to call him.
