ncaa track national championships

03.13.10 | sports

So lately I have been shooting a lot of track. It started about a month ago with the Tyson Invitational held at the University of Arkansas and then lucky me they hosted the SEC Championships and NCAA National Championships. Well, tonight indoor track season came to an end. Here are some images from the NCAA National Championships. I shot for Texas Tech University, Baylor University, Florida State University, and the University of Minnesota which is always bitter sweet for me!

Tyson Invitational {Track}

02.22.10 | sports

I have been a bad blogger! I admit that sometimes it is hard for me to juggle the different  jobs that I have… Full time mom, full time photographer, full time household manager, full time cpa (for the man in my life’s business) and full time spouse of sorts.

Over Valentines weekend I spent two days shooting the Tyson Invitational for Mississippi State University. The Tyson Invitational is a two day indoor track meet featuring some of the nations top colligate athletes as well as some of the worlds top athletes.

It is always fun to shoot invitationals. They are a little more relaxed and often times feature some of the worlds most elite track and field athletes that are attached to the likes of Nike and the USA team.

Unfortunately, photographing indoor track comes with a price. High ISO which means a grainier image. Despite that you get the idea of just how strong and powerful these athletes are! Enjoy…
