Whit is three months old. His brave and easy going mom (of 5!) contacted me for portraits feeling terrible that she did not get any newborn portraits of Whit in his going home outfit, as she had done with here first four. Are you kidding me, I would be lucky to remember all their names let alone remember to schedule newborn pictures. So she squeezed Whit into his going home outfit and we snapped a few shots of him. I love it! Who cares that he is three months and not three days right? It fits and she got the shots… that is all that matters. I was even able to get a few shots of Whit with is proud brothers and sisters. Oh, and let me tell you this… when I see 4 children, a mom and a newborn approaching my house for a session I usually brace myself for a couple of hours of screeching, tears, a few fights that have to be broken up. Well not this party of five. They by far have to be the most well behaved siblings I have ever been around and such great helpers. They are all welcome to my home anytime! Their behavior and manners says a lot about how great of a job their mom and dad have done. These five have been raised right. Cuddos to you mom and dad on a not so motley crew! Enjoy your sneak peek Cox family!!!

I just love a green summer field. In Arkansas we get so much rain through the summer that we have the greenest fields. As a matter of fact we just beat a storm this session… ending as the rain and thunder came rolling in.

When my close friend Sarah said yes lets do Eli’s one year portraits (she is the type of mom you have to remind to take pictures… strange I know) I knew just where I wanted to take Eli and his big sister Kaelee and big brother Owen. There is this old barn and field by my house that I like to sneak into for sessions. I dream that someday I will own the barn and the property but until then I sneak. In case you do not remember Eli’s newborn shoot I start with a picture of him at just a few days old and follow that with a snap of him at one. I just love watching babies and kids grow through photographs!

I think Eli is just perfect and so are the big kids! ps… my favorite is the last image!

Enjoy your sneak peek VanGundy family it was fun to spend a summer night with the kids in a field, chaos and all!

I met up with Rachel the other night for a photoshoot. I am working with her dad and his new pediatric practice, Harvey Pediatrics in Bentonville, on special print projects, web design and photography needs. When he asked me if I would take some pictures of his youngest daughter so he could hang them on the walls of his practice I jumped at the chance. Rachel is a natural in front of the camera and maybe one of the most self confident 13 year olds I have come across in a long while. Her confidence shows in the images I took of her too. We had to trust pass, which Rachel thought was great, to get the field/barn shots (my favorites) and just had a blast shooting around town for about an hour and a half. She made me want to be 13 again!!! Enjoy your sneak peek Rachel and family! Many more great images to follow!

Oh how sweet she is! Meet Brooke… no she is not a newborn but she is as tiny as one. I meet up with this super cute 6 week old and her momma and dad for a session today. Always a little leery of the older “newborn” since they are so awake and have hands that never stop moving or gravitating for their face Brooke proved me wrong. She was super easy while awake and extremely darling while asleep. Best of both worlds I must say. It was fun meeting mom and dad too. Transplants to the area by way of Minneapolis… I felt like I had know mom for years! Thank you for coming to see me Dixon family. I hope you love your sneak peek!
